The Fantoni Group, guest on the Rhoss Spa stand, continues its campaign to promote climatic and acoustic comfort by presenting Climacustic, the only radiant and sound-deadening system to have been tested in the R&D laboratory at Rhoss Spa, a leading company in the air-conditioning sector.
Climacustic, designed by the Fantoni Research Centre, is an innovative solution for achieving energy saving of more than 30% and improving the comfort of rooms, combining the high performance of a radiant system with the high technological content of sound-deadening systems, together with an elegant appearance in line with modern furnishing trends.
The Rhoss contribution has made it possible to turn Climacustic into an excellent product, by designing a system of reversible water chillers and monobloc heat pumps on the cooling circuit with water condensation, combining high energy performance with quiet operation and low consumption.
Climacustic is a system comprising a sound-deadening panel and a radiant part with circulating fluid located on the back of the panel. The fluid flows through an 8 mm PE-Xc oxygen barrier pipe and, in order to prevent upward dissipation of heat, the MDF panel is bonded to a polystyrene insulating layer, while a sheet of aluminium between the two parts ensures an even temperature distribution over the entire surface of the module. In cases where buildings are restructured and the boiler is replaced with a condensation boiler, a heat pump or solar panels, Climacustic is one of the products eligible for a 55% tax allowance over 5 years (in Italy).
Unlike traditional air-conditioning systems, Climacustic – which is easy to install on walls or ceilings – also improves the acoustic quality of rooms by eliminating reverberation and efficiently solving the problem of noise pollution.
Bearing witness to the extraordinary value of Climacustic, designed by Fantoni engineer Christian Tomadini, the National Prize for Innovation was awarded to Patt – Fantoni Group on 8 June 2009, by the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano. The product also received the highly coveted ADI Design Index 2008 award at the Milan Triennial, an award that is the result of a large-scale process involving research and development work carried out by the Group over a number of years, in collaboration with Rhoss Spa.
To try out the Climacustic system, please come and see us in the new Fantoni Blue Milano showroom, via Santa Sofia 27, Milan.
